Why did the Soviet Union start the Berlin Blockade?

A. to replace the iron curtain

B. to remove the Allies from Berlin

C. fear that East Germany would have a strong economy

D. to force East Germany to become Communist
Why did the Soviet Union start the Berlin Blockade?
It was to remove the allies from Berlin. Berlin as you should know was located within the heart of Soviet controlled territory, what would later be East Germany. A part of the post-war settlement was to divide up Berlin between the allies despite the fact that it was in the Soviet ZOC.
Why did the Soviet Union start the Berlin Blockade?
cuz thery're a$$holes
Reply:B. They wanted control of all of Berlin. They didn't like having a huge "enemy" stronghold in the middle of their territory.
Reply:B. Geographically, Berlin was in East German territory and the Soviets thought they could control the whole city.
Reply:B (the western allies only . the Soviet Union was an ally from WW2 but they did not want to remove themselves)
