What are some examples of rich and famous Caucasian Americans who have been tried for serious crimes?

I'm trying to compare it to the number of African Americans, such as Kobe Bryant or Micheal Jackson.

And also say whether they were found guilty or not, and whether your opinion is that they actually were guilty or not.

No matter how you try to do the math, you'll come up with a worthless result, because you're trying to compare rich white apples to rich black oranges.

It's not even clear today that black defendants receive equal treatment compared to white ones. There's lots of evidence to the contrary, in fact.

Historically, there's no question - the justice system was openly, then covertly, racist against blacks. It may still be.

Money will certainly help you out in court, no matter your race. The fact that some rich black defendants have proven that point doesn't mean the justice system overall isn't racist.

Martha Stewart for one.
Reply:John DeLorean. Found not guilty, but I feel he was guilty.
Reply:Oliver North, indicted and sentenced but not long afterwards the conviction was stricken on appeal due to a violation of his 5th ammendment right. He was clearly guilty and got off on a technicality, the whole Iran-contra scandal was a bad joke with the trial being the punchline.

Though I'll be honest I agree with Primordius, I was just giving you an example.
Reply:Nathan Leopold, Jr. and Richard Loeb, usually referred to as Leopold and Loeb, for the murder of 14 year old Bobby Franks. Loeb's father was vice president of Sears Roebuck. They were found guilty and, thanks to Clarence Darrow, were sentence to life in prison pluys 99 years for kidnapping instead of the death penalty. Both confessed and Leopold's glasses were found near Franks' body. So their guilt was never in doubt.

Another is Roscoe Arbuckle. more popularly known as Fatty Arbuckle, who was the one of the biggest comedic stars of the silent film era. He was tried for manslaughter in the death of Virginia Rappe. Two mistrials and a not guilty verdict that included a letter of apology from the jury were the result. However, the scandal destroyed Arbuckle's career. I think he was not guilty. His accuser, Maude Delmont, tried to extort money from him. The whole ordeal was manipulated by a extortion and a prosecutor who want to make a name for himself.
Reply:hello. the chicago 'black' sox, who gambled on the new sport they were performing in. maybe you can recall the name 'shoeless joe' Jackson.
