I am just concerning about what is the definition of Truman Doctrine and how does this doctrine affect the Asian countries like Korea, China or Vietnam.

The Truman Doctrine affect on Asian Countries.?
The Truman Doctrine originally set out in 1947 as a policy to prevent communist take over of Greece and Turkey. But as a policy of containment, it soon would also apply to Asia, and particularly with the Communist attempt to takeover Vietnam. The effect of this doctrine was for the US to help supply the French armies against the Communistic Viet Minh under Ho Chi Minn. But the result of this aid proved bad for the American cause with the defeat of the French at Dien Bien Phu.
