Declaration of independence?

where was it signed? and or written?
Declaration of independence?
It was signed at the bottom. It was writtenin Philadelphia during the second continental congress.
Declaration of independence?
July 4th, 1776, Congress.
Reply:it was written in philadelphia, pennsylvania in the State House by 55 men of the second continental congress on july 4, 1776
Reply:The resolution was actually passed on July 2, 1776. John Adams wrote to Abigail on July 3rd that he thought the 2nd would be celebrated through our history. Several small changes were made between the 2nd and the 4th. But it was not signed on the 4th, except by John Hancock and Charles Thomson (secretary to the Continental Congress.) This was a printed copy that was distributed to let people know about the Declaration.

The delegates came and went that summer and eventually all signed the document, but it did not happen as in the famous painting where they all came up one at a time and signed it on July 4th. That just didn't happen.
