What seas did Ancient Greece mainly travel on?
The Aegean and the Adriatic are on either side of the peninsula. The Black Sea is to the north, toward Russia, and the Mediterranean is to the south and west. It depends on where they were going and for what reason. The westernmost settlement was Messalia where Marseilles is now, on the south coast of France. There are some indications they traded as far north as the North Sea, and the English Channel. This would also require travel on the Atlantic.
Reply:As well as the Mediterranean they had many colonies on the Black Sea (called the Euxine Sea by them.)
