How did americans sacrifice for the common good during WW 2?
Just did a HUGE research paper on the American Home Front during WWII, don't know much about the third question, but here are answers for 1 %26amp; 2:

1. Everything - rationing, people went on scrap drives (for just about everything - metal, nylon, silk, paper, etc. - first time recycling came into common practice in US), farmers grew different crops to supply gov't with food for troops, people bought war bonds with what little money they had to help finance the war, they had "blackouts" where every light in homes %26amp; towns were extinguished at certain times for a variety of reasons, air raid drills, rallies, many many more things.....too much to list but this is the gist of it

2. The gov't put out a TON of propaganda - there was even an agency created just to promote the war effort called the War Advertising Council %26amp; they organized the greatest advertising campaign in US history. Posters, celebrities, war bonds, radio ads, you name it. They made American feel like they had to pull together to take care of business and bring our boys %26amp; girls home - and it worked!

Sorry for #3.....hope the others help!
